VU Business Administration major My Vũ

My Vũ, Business Administration (’22)

Hometown: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

My’s Story: "Before being a VU student, I graduated from high school in Vietnam and really wanted to study abroad. I believed that studying abroad in the U.S. could give me a chance to be more independent, discover the world, and meet different people."

Why VU? "I chose VU because it is a small campus and very easy for me to apply. A small campus size could be a good start for me to adapt to a new culture and easier to make friends."

What does she love about VU? "I have experienced many, many interesting things. I have met many friends from different countries and we share our cultures with each other. They help me to improve my English and also taught me their languages. Professors at VU are very helpful and friendly. They are willing to help me whenever I need it. Everyone is very nice which makes me less homesick."

Future plans: "Studying at VU has helped me prepare and cultivate my confidence, essential skills, and knowledge, and now I am ready for my new journey at Arizona State University this coming fall.”

An interesting observation about her name: "My name is My Vũ, which is always very confusing for everyone at VU."
